Dordogne, France - A Place in the Sun

Dordogne, France Lee Juggurnauth

Lee Juggurnauth heads to the Dordogne in South West France to help Julie and Peter find their perfect holiday home. With a budget of £200,000 they’re looking for a two bed detached house with traditional French features. Lee has five stunning properties to show them but will any of them be up Julie and Peter’s street?

About the area

The Dordogne in south western France is about 8 hours drive from Calais – or you can fly into Bergerac right in the heart of the region from quite a few UK airports – the flight time is less than two hours Known as the Valley of 1000 castles - despite only having a mere 615 of them - the Dordogne, named after the river that runs through it, is known for its stunning countryside, traditional French architecture and scrumptious home grown food – and wine! It’s one of France’s most popular holiday destinations, with more than 3 million tourists visiting each year – and it’s also popular with Brits – almost 20,000 of us live in the region.
